My projects involve creating unique interactive experiences where users select different images I’ve curated, with each image corresponding to a specific song. These selections link the sonic qualities of the song with a resonant visual. Based on these choices, users receive five personalized song recommendations.
This concept was inspired by my own methods of cultivating taste and appreciation in art through experiences, mixed media, and film. While written and oral language are valuable tools for sharing art—and something I also use—I’ve become interested in connecting others to art through more visual means. This approach streamlines the curation and recommendation process while linking similar qualities across different art forms. Furthermore, I am passionate about personalizing and tailoring the process of art curation to individuals in the digital age, outside of generic and algorithmic recommendations.
